Manifiesto

Upgrade!

Statement

Upgrade! Tijuana is a program of monthly meetings for visual artists, musicians, computer programmers and people who are interested in the development and promotion of electronic culture.

Tijuana is located on the northeast of Mexico, on the border with California. This is the context in which Upgrade Tijuana offers a space for exchange of experiences and knowledge between digital media artists from both sides of the border (Tijuana, San Diego, Los Angeles). They will work the sessions in a praxis that allows to share the knowledge and experience of each of its participants about the fusion of art and technology . The characteristics of migratory flow in this geographical zone allow the opportunity to diversify the sessions with the participation of visual artists from America, Europe and Asia.

In each session two projects will be presented. One from Mexico and another one from the United States (or from other parts of the world). The participants will talk about the projects sharing technical, aesthetical processes and those regarding infrastructure, etc. The end on the sessions will be a Live Act.

These sessions are organized and will be coordinated by Dream Addictive Lab.
